‘Driving the television of the future together’
Under the slogan that defines the spirit of the association, ‘Driving the future of television together’, the celebration became a space for meeting and reflection where attendees could talk, share impressions and exchange ideas and perspectives for the future in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The event also served to highlight UHD Spain’s five-year track record of working collaboratively to promote innovation and the development of ultra-high-definition television in Spain.

During the event, the president of UHD Spain, Victor Sanchez, thanked all attendees for their presence and commitment, as well as the support received over the years from the association’s members and collaborators.
During his speech, he highlighted the association’s track record and impact in promoting Ultra High Definition in Spain, recalling that “it started with test broadcasts” and that this path has led to milestones such as the broadcast of the World Cup in Qatar in UHD, the launch of a regular RTVE channel in Ultra High Definition and the approval of a Royal Decree that “forces broadcasting in UHD”. Sánchez stressed that UHD Spain is “an association that has started, has a track record and is going from strength to strength”, with continuous growth in membership, a clear vision for the future and a European vocation, as “we will create a European UHD group”.

Finally, he emphasised the inclusive nature of the association, which brings together manufacturers, broadcasters and content generators, and thanked all the members and attendees for their support, stating that “there was no better way to celebrate these five years than to spend some quality time with everyone” and thanking “all those who have made this possible, whether they are here today or not”.
